Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get an estimate?
The best way is to fill out, and return the estimate form with a short description, and a few clear photos. I’ll review it, and usually get back to you within a day or two with a ballpark range.

Do you charge a trip fee?
Yes. For on-site visits or consultations, I charge a trip fee, usually between $60–$120 depending on distance and complexity. This covers the time and fuel it takes to come out and take a look.

If the job moves forward, I’ll apply that toward the total cost.

What kinds of work do you take on?
Light repairs, minor home fixes, yard cleanup, and general property care. I don’t take on structural, roofing, electrical, or plumbing work that would require a license. If I can’t do it, I’ll try to point you in the right direction.

What areas do you serve?
I’m based in Gainesville, FL and typically work within Alachua County. If you're a bit outside that range, feel free to ask—I may still be able to help (or at least refer someone local).

How quickly will you respond?
Usually within 1–2 business days. I may be working on a job when you reach out, but I’ll follow up as soon as I can.

Are you licensed and insured?
I carry general liability insurance, but I’m not a licensed contractor. I stay within Florida’s handyman laws and don’t take on regulated trade work.
